How pappu began

Pappu Dosa specialises in Pure Vegetarian cuisine from Southern and Northern states of India, Tamil Nadu (Chennai), Delhi, and Maharashtra (Mumbai).

We were established by a Chef of British Origin, Tim Darling Rushworth, who’s passion for Indian cookery paired with his enthusiasm to gain more knowledge and experience - led him to specialise and eventually begin his own venture in 2020.

From very humble beginnings, and a strong vision, Tim served Indian delicacies from a small food truck in North Bristol and gained a reputation for his food with an almost exclusively Indian client base. Selling out on a regular basis, it rapidly became necessary to occupy a small shop and kitchen.
Today team Pappu Dosa freshly prepares, from scratch, to exacting recipes, an extensive menu, 7 days a week, gaining for them a reputation for great tasting, truly authentic Indian products.

We strive for culinary excellence, encapsulated within a casual, pleasing environment, to create eaterys where anyone can dine on affordable, delicious food which is exact to the taste of that in India itself.

We operate in a manner which promotes the talents of skilled chefs by giving them the platform to specialise and excel, thus preserving the traditional art form of real Indian cookery.

We aim to promote Indian culture in the UK by representing its true form through culinary expression, on a mass scale.
